What is it with the bad weather??

I am sooo tired of the COLD!! If you know me then you know I'm really not a fan of HOT either BUT I just can't take the switch every other day! My poor kids just need a little bit of warm for more then 2 days!!! I am sure my complaining won't do me any good because there is a snow storm on the way as I type this little message. All I have to say is WHATEVER!!!

We did have a good Easter dispite the rain on Saturday. We tried and Easter Egg Hunt which I don't think we will EVER do again!! The kids seemed to have an ok time. Beckam LOVES being outside in the rain though... he just thought we were CRAZY! Our sweet little Beckam!

Speaking of which Beck cut his first tooth today! Maybe this means he'll start being nice ;)!!

Beckam LOVES the tub. If he even hears the water he'll book it to the bathroom to get in. He earned the name Fancy Pants because of his fancy moves in the tub. He'll do what ever he wants whenever he wants!!

So I admit I have really slacked on the blog lately and I fully blame it on facebook! But there are a few things that have happened! Gavin turned 3 and I have figured out the 3 is much worse then 2!! What an spitfire that kid his but he melts my heart with all of his kisses and funny little songs.

Beckam is mobile! He has started to pull himself around the house and is starting to get up on his knees... won't be long now! (I'm not too sure how I feel about this.) He is such a funny boy and has is own unique personality. We have recently discovered that his new bedtime is 7. Is that bad of me to be happy about this?
As for me and Nick... I got a promotion at my job. I am the new office manager. I am also not so sure how I feel about that! This is officially my first week on my own and so far it has been ok. Then again its only Tuesday YIKES!!! Nick is just doing the same old work and more work... he's getting really close to having the basement done. This is a much needed project to get finished! We owe BIG thankyou to his Dad for coming a ton to help Nick get things going!

So this is what I felt like doing on Friday after I found out that Wicked the musical was SOLD OUT!!! It is only going to be in town from April to May and for some reason I thought I had a chance! Nope not even close!!! WHATEVER!!!

Well other than my depressing news things are going great! The boys are excited for Christmas. We took them to see Santa and Gavin just bawled his eyes out! Beckam however just loved it! That probably won't happen next year! This post is coming to a fast end because Beckam does not think it important to update people about our life!!

Ok so I know I'm a day late but I guess it's considered Thanksgiving weekend huh? We have been busy busy and I haven't had time to really update the blog. Beckam is 5 months now and eats everything in site! He is officially sleeping through the night! I am so excited for that. He still looks very much like a turtle. Some people say I am so mean for saying that but he's a cute turtle! We cleaned out Gavin's room and added in Beckam's crib so they now share a room. Gavin is so excited to have some company. He just loves his baby brother. Gavin is always very helpful with his little brother and we are very grateful for that! Gavin is gettling very excited for Christmas or what he calls "Christmas Town". I think he has watched a little too much Nightmare Before Christmas. He has been running around the house singing, "Making Christmas, Making Christmas, LA LA LA!" He is constantly making me smile. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

So I am a little behind just barely posting Halloween pics but Gavin has been sick since Saturday and he is such a GRUMP! I hope that he starts feeling better soon. Anyway, Halloween was a blast. Gavin at first did not want to get into his costume but he eventually didn't want to take it off! He thought it was the coolest thing to get CANDY at every door we went to! Of course Beckam was the cutest turtle ever! They had fun playing with thier cousins and eating enough candy to be up all night long!

So today I spent 2 hours cleaning my sweet Gavins room! I swear that kid can destroy anything in just seconds. Well I had him helping me at first and then once he decided throwing the toys was much more fun then keeping them in the organized piles I had them in, I had him go in the other room and watch a movie. I got so involved in cleaning I didn't think anything of the quiet and walked into the family room to get something and found my sweet boy on the couch watching cars with his own bag a doritos! He thought nothing of it! He saw me and said, "Oh hey Mom! Are you cleaning?" I couldn't help but just laugh and grab the camera! So I guess the moral to the story is when you have a two year old never get too involved in what your doing because quiet is almost never good! By the way... Gavin doesn't have something wrong with his eye, just everytime I get out the camera he thinks he has to wink at the camera! I don't know where he got this idea from but it sure is funny!

Having a bad day?

So as I got in my car at 5 am and thought UGH... this totally sucks! I was so tired and work was the last place I wanted to be. I was just in a rotten mood. Then I heard a little voice from the back seat say "MOM!" I turned around and I not going to lie stightly annoyed because he had just dropped his toy which usually is a catastrophy, and Gavin gave me a HUGE smile then he just starting singing, "ITS THE BEST DAY EVER!" (If any of you have seen Sponge Bob Square Pants then you might now where he got that!) My sour mood instantly turned! Thank goodness for little boys! I LOVE MY GAVIN!

Well first of all.... I decided to update my blog and since I am not very smart when it comes to the computer I failed to save any of my friends and family blog sites.... if you are a regular looking at my blog please leave your blog address so I can add you back!

Also we found out our little Beckam has acid reflux so I am so glad that we finallly have a diagnosis for why he is so uncomfortable but now we just have to find out what medication is going to help the poor little man. Tonight he was crying and crying and crying and I just didn't know what to do so Nick took him and put him in his swing and he immediatly stopped crying! What a spoiled baby huh?

I just took some cute pictures of the boys. I asked Nick the other day if he could believe how blessed we are to have two of the most handsome boys. I am just so greatful that we have such a wonderful little family. Even though having a terrible 2 and a 2 month old who thinks its more fun to just be awake then to ever sleep at night is sometimes so hard I want to pull my hair out, I still feel incredibly blessed. They are growing way to fast!

Gavin is talking up a storm. The other day he was mad at me (as he usually because I am not Dad) and I turned around to say something to him and he responded, "No mom I can't see you!" Which probably ment GO AWAY but in his own little Gavin way.

Beckam has started to smile! He 11 lbs now are really starting to get chunky! He has such a funny little personality and I can tell I am going to be in for it... he wants what he wants when he wants it! Hmmmm I wonder where he learned that from.... his DAD maybe?

Nick just got back from his yearly trip for work to Amarillo, Texas where he was able to be intertained by Trapt, Natasha Bedingfield, Brian McNight, Lean Womack and apperantly Kevin Costner has a band. He had fun but is very glad to be home and so are we! Life gets way to crazy with him gone!

We are excited that the HOT summer is almost gone and fall is around the corner... the joys of living in Utah! We also just got a new car which I am just thrilled about! We had to get smaller car with the HIGH gas prices... another joy of living in Utah??? I'll post a picture as soon as

I get one. Until then you'll just have to look at my handsome boys!

Beckam's Blessing

We blessed Beckam on Sunday. I love baby blessings. I am so greatful that we have been blessed with this new baby boy! Beckam is a perfect addition to our little family! I can't even believe 6 weeks has gone by so fast! It's just not fair! I went back to work today which was bitter sweet. I feel a little guilty saying it but it was nice to have a little break, mostly because Gavin has become somewhat of a menace, (those of you who know about the fish food story know what I mean- oh and the water outside of the tub... you can only guess!) but I am sure I won't think about that for long! I missed both of my boys SO much today. It won't be long before Beckam is running around the house with his menace of a brother but I couldn't ask for more beautiful loving boys!

The other news is that Beckam slept for 7 hours last night! I didn't think that it would ever happen. What a handsome boy!

Here are just a few more pics. Gavin is so funny with him. He gives him kisses and hugs all the time. Tonight Gavin went with my Mom to a baseball game and before he left he had to give baby Beckam a hug and kiss. Things are still going really well and Beckam is starting to get a HUGE appetite, which is good cuz he is so little! Enjoy the pictures!

Our new little man Beckam Nicholas Hoover was born on June 21st at 9:34 am. He's weighed 7lbs 3.2 oz and was 19 1/4 in. long. He is such a precious little boy and we couldn't feel more blessed to have him a part of our family. Everything went really well with the delivery. He has a high billirubin count so he's under the lights for a few days but at least we get to have him at home. His older brother Gavin is proud to have a baby brother however isn't too sure about him yet. He's adjusting ok but is having a really hard time... especially at night- so any advise on how to make him feel ok about all this would be great! Well I will post more pictures later but I have been so tired since Beckam thinks the night is the day!

Well Gavin had his first trip to the zoo this weekend. He was so excited to see the elephants since his favorite movie right now is Dumbo. He also had a blast on the slide. We went with Nicks family and had a lot of fun. Gavin only has about 1 more week as an only child so we are trying to take him out and have fun! Here are just a few pics of the fun weekend.

We got the news last week that Gavin's baby brother will arive on June 23rd, sometime in the morning... hopefully- I go in at 5:30am. Gavin told me last week that his baby brother was in his bum! He's so funny! He now sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star non stop... or at least his version of twinkle twinkle... it goes a little like this-

Gavin had an exciting Mothers Day weekend! We went to the South Jordan WalMart to get Mothers Day flowers and Carlos Boozer from the Utah Jazz (Gavin loves the Jazz!) was there for a radio station event of some kind. We pulled up at just the right time and we got to shake his had. Gavin of course gave him a high five and said "GO JAZZ!" We topped of the weekend by going to the Jazz game on Mothers day! Honestly I don't know who was more excited Nick or Gavin!

I havn't posted in a while but not much has really gone on. Gavin has just been dealing with ear infection after ear infection. Poor guy just can't seem to get better. He has been so grouchy and has gotten used to watching movies in Mom and Dads bed! He's getting so big. His latest acomplishment is counting to 12! Oh and he went potty one time on the toilet but since then nothing. He's getting so big! Me and Nick are just trying to get things ready for the new baby. The basement project isn't going as fast as we wanted just because Nick has had to work so much. It will get done sooner or later I suppose! I just got a new camera so poor Gavin is going blind with all of flashes going on around here. Here are a few of my fist shots... there will be more to come I'm sure!

Easter Fun!

We went to two easter egg hunts! Gavin and his cousins Colby and Jaxon had a blast. It was so cold the kids were shiverring! Our first hunt was at Thanksgiving point and then we went to the 2nd annual easter egg hunt for the Kidney Foundation. There was plenty enough eggs for all. It was a fun day. We topped it off by coloring easter eggs and the kids had a bath to wash off all the dye. We had fun celebrating easter with Nicks family. Gavin loves to be with his cousins.

Well I finally decided to sit down and figure out this whole blog thing. We really haven't been up to too much lately. We are just getting ready for our Easter weekend. Gavin is excited to go on his 3 easter egg hunts! He has already found his hidden easter basket 2 times! I will be taking plenty of pictures to post. Gavin is also excited to go to Grandma Smith's house for the week. It will be weird to have a quiet house! Good luck to Grandma Smith!!
